Moved by the idea of experimentation, Lis Bazan is in constant research for recovering ancestral textile techniques applied in a new form - mixing them with technology and new approaches. Fighting against the conventional standards her work is strange, fearless and full of textile exploration, including the making of original fabrics and dyeing with natural methods always focusing on investigation.

PHILOSOPHY

Before I even put pen to paper, I think a few decades ahead. Would people still love my pieces fifty years into the future? Creating something new yet timeless is my mission, the belief in constant search of new ideas through textile experimentation, culture and the richness of Peruvian's civilization.

SAVOIR FAIRE

She works with artisans from all over Peru, creating and combining new ways of looking garments through complex, avant-garde design and nonconforming aesthetics, while merging contemporary concepts with traditional methods. Her ID is constant collaboration and support from and to artisans communities inside her country.
